The core dermal fillers include hyaluronic acid (HAs) and calcium hydroxylapatite. Here we are looking at HAs (Juvederm®, Belotero®, Restylane®, Teoxane®), famously used for soft tissue volume loss in the face, treatment of fine lines, moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds: whilst also being extremely versatile for contouring and lifting the face (Derm Nsing, 2013) when used effective and appropriately.

Dermal Fillers are injected into the dermal layers to give your face a natural volume, leaving your skin hydrated and more youthful. Accepted areas to add volume and fullness include the lips, cheeks and bridge of the nose. For smoothing and plumping lines and wrinkles, treatment areas are around the eyes, mouth, chin, neck, décolletage and hands.

Lips can have natural added volume and definition without looking ‘filled’. Harnessing a ‘less is more’ approach, I’ll ensure you look well, rather than treated. Typically, with this treatment, you can expect enhanced lip definition and natural, plump, fuller lips.

The under eye known as the Tear Trough is the easiest area to treat badly. Advanced training is required to ensure the anatomy is understood to prevent disastrous effects, as well as ensuring appropriate after care is given, understood and followed.

Cheek restoration enhances definition – a minimally invasive treatment restoring the skin’s natural elasticity, firming and highlighting the lost facial features. Dermal Fillers for cheeks are a brilliant alternative to surgery. Target the following areas, leaving the skin natural looking and tighter: Cheeks, Cheekbones, Jawlines, Laughter & Marionette lines
